AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNOLOGY This program trains students in the repair and maintenance of automobiles, and both light and heavy trucks. Engine repair, engine performance, brakes, suspension/steering, and electrical/electronic specialist are part of the curriculum. COSMETOLOGY The cosmetology program is designed to prepare a student for a career in professional care of the hair, skin, and nails. During the training period, the student will learn skills with state-of-the-art equipment and tools that will enable him/her to meet the industry demand for skilled employees. Other related programs include esthetics, cosmetology instructor training, and nail technician training. HEALTH SCIENCE The Health Science Technology program provides information and practical experience in many areas of healthcare. It helps prepare the student for entry-level job as well as for acceptance into technical programs, associate degree programs,and bachelors degree programs in healthcare fields. The curriculum includes medical terminology, medical measurement, health careers, anatomy and physiology, CPR and first aid, clinical rotation in many healthcare facilities, and much more. |
PRECISION MACHINING TECHNOLOGY Precision Machining Technology prepares students for machinist-related positions that involve the use of stationary and power-driven devices that shape or form metal to precise measurements. This program teaches students how to set up and operate the various types of machines common to industry. The program also teaches employibility and interviewing skills. WELDING TECHNOLOGY The welding technology program is designed to teach skills needed for entry-level job placement as a welder. Curriculum includes shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, oxy-fuel cutting, plasma arc cutting, air carbon arc cutting, blueprint reading, weld symbols and welding inspection and testing. Classroom instruction emphasizes safety and proper care, use, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
